(14 April 1872 – 10 December 1953) An Indian Islamic scholar who translated the Qur'an into
English. His translation of the Qur'an ranks as one of the most widely-known and used in the world.
Ali was born in Surat, Gujarat in British India to a wealthy merchant family with a Dawoodi Bohra father. As a child, Ali received a religious education and, eventually, could recite the entire Qur'an from memory. He spoke both Arabic and English fluently. He studied English literature and studied at several European universities, including the University of Leeds.
He concentrated his efforts on the Qur'an and studied the Qur'anic commentaries beginning with those written in the early days of Islamic history. Yusuf Ali's best-known work is his book The Holy Qur'an: Text, Translation and Commentary, begun in 1934 and published in 1938 by
Sh. Muhammad Ashraf Publishers Lahore in India (later Pakistan).

Dr. Israr Ahmad, was born on April 26, 1932 in
Hisar, Haryana- India. He graduated from King Edward Medical College (Lahore) in 1954 and later received his masters in Islamic Studies from the University of Karachi in 1965. He came under the influence of Allama Iqbal and Maulana Abul A`la Maududi as a young student.
Dr. Israr Ahmad gained considerable fame and eminence as a Mudarris (or teacher) of the Holy Qur'an. He continued to give Qur'anic lectures in different cities of India & Pakistan, he invested the better part of his physical and intellectual abilities in the learning and teaching of the Qur'anic wisdom.
He has widely traveled abroad and the audio and video tapes
of his Qur'anic discourses in Urdu
and English languages have circulated in thousands
throughout the world. One of his most popular English Quran
discourse audio file has been compressed and zipped for download.
He died in the year 2010. May Allah shower His Blessings on him.

Dr. Muhammad Muhsin was born in the year 1345 Al-Hijri, in Qasur, a city of the Punjab Province, in Pakistan.
He worked as the Director of the Islamic University Clinic, Al-Madinah.
Allah (Glory be to Him) helped him to translate the meanings of the Hadiths of the Book Sahih-al-Bukhari and the meanings of the interpretation of the Qur-an into English in this short period.
In association with Dr. Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din Al-Hilali he undertook the task of interpretation of the meanings of the Noble Qur'aan providing evidences from the authentic sources for clarification.
Dr. Al-Hilali was born in the year 1311 (A.H.) in a village called
Al-Fidah in Morocco (N. Africa). He was a person endued with religious knowledge Dr. Al-Hilali belongs to the family of Husain bin Ali - the family of Prophet Muhammad (S) .
He memorized the Qur'an while a boy of 12 years. Then he studied Arabic grammar and Tajwid and other Arabic knowledge of Ahadith of the Prophet.
He also learned well the English and German languages. He traveled widely all over the world in search of knowledge. He got his doctorate from the Berlin University (Germany). He worked in Baghdad University, as an assistant professor, then a professor. Lastly, he worked as a professor in the Islamic University, Al-Madinah (Saudi Arabia).
He died in the year 1408 Hijrah. May Allah shower His Blessings on him.
